Terms of Service

The terms governing your use of SVGMaker — accounts, credits, commercial use rights for generated SVGs, refunds, and acceptable use.

2026/08/17

1. What these Terms cover

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of SVGMaker, an online AI SVG generator, vectorizer, converter and editor available at svgmaker.org. By using SVGMaker, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Some parts of SVGMaker run entirely in your browser and need no account. Creating an account, buying credits, or taking out a subscription brings the rest of these Terms into effect for you as well.

2. What SVGMaker does

SVGMaker provides three kinds of work on vector graphics:

  • AI generation — you describe what you want and receive an SVG.
  • Vectorization — you supply a bitmap image and receive vector paths.
  • Conversion and editing — you convert between SVG and other formats (including PNG, JPG, WebP, PDF, favicon, and the production formats STL, DXF, EPS, PS and AI), or edit SVG source and shapes in the browser.

Where the work happens depends on what you run, and this matters for your files:

  • In your browser only. Basic conversions between SVG and PNG, JPG, WebP, PDF and favicon, along with local image tracing and SVG source cleanup, are performed by your own device. Your file is not uploaded to us and is not sent to any AI provider.
  • On our servers, using third-party AI providers. AI generation, AI vectorization, background removal and prompt enhancement are performed using AI models operated by outside providers, not by SVGMaker itself.
  • On our servers, without an AI provider. Conversion to the production formats listed above is performed by our own software.

3. Who can use SVGMaker

The browser-only features listed in section 2 are available without an account.

For everything else you create an account by signing in with Google. You must provide accurate information via that sign-in process and are responsible for keeping your Google account secure, since it controls access to your SVGMaker account.

You must be at least 18 to buy credits or take out a subscription. If you are under 18, you may use SVGMaker only with the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian, and they must make any purchase. SVGMaker is not intended for anyone under 13.

4. Credits, pricing, and subscriptions

Work that runs on our servers costs credits. The exact credit cost of a job is shown before you run it. You can obtain credits by:

  • Receiving free credits when you sign up.
  • Buying a one-time credit pack.
  • Subscribing to a monthly or yearly plan, which grants credits on a recurring basis.

Credits from a one-time pack do not expire. Subscription credits are different: they are issued for each monthly benefit window and expire when that window ends, including the monthly grants on a yearly plan. Unused subscription credits do not become permanent pack credits.

Prices for credit packs and subscriptions are shown at checkout and may change going forward — if we change pricing, it will apply to future purchases or renewals, not to credits you have already bought.

A subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings, and the cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for.

If a payment is refunded or reversed, SVGMaker reverses the credits that payment granted.

5. Refunds

Credits are delivered to your account as soon as your payment goes through. All purchases are final, except where a refund is required by applicable law or where SVGMaker agrees to one.

If you are a consumer in the UK or the EU, you normally have a 14-day right to cancel a purchase of digital content. Because credits are delivered immediately, that right can be lost once delivery begins with your consent. Where it has not been lost, it is unaffected by anything in these Terms.

If something goes wrong on our side, you will not be left out of pocket:

  • If a job fails because of a technical problem at SVGMaker or at an AI provider, the credits held for that attempt are released back to your balance automatically.
  • If a purchase or a result has gone wrong in some other way, contact us. We will look into it, and once the problem is verified, will put it right.

Successful jobs consume credits even if you don't like the creative result, since AI output is variable by nature.

Nothing in these Terms affects the statutory rights you have as a consumer.

6. Payment processing

Payments are handled by a third-party payment processor. SVGMaker does not see or store your full card number — that data goes directly to the payment processor. Your use of these payment services is also subject to that provider's own terms.

7. Who owns what, and commercial use

You own what you make. You keep ownership of the files you supply, and you own the SVGs and other files SVGMaker produces for you, subject to the rights of any underlying content you did not create yourself (see section 9).

Commercial use rights depend on whether you have paid:

  • Free use — personal use only. Files produced by the browser-only features, and files produced using the free credits granted at sign-up, are licensed for personal, non-commercial use and for evaluating the service.
  • Paid use — commercial licence included. If you hold an active subscription, or produced the file using credits from a one-time pack, you receive a worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive licence to use that file commercially, including in client work, products and merchandise. No attribution is required and no watermark is applied.

A commercial licence granted for a file survives the end of your subscription: cancelling later does not revoke rights in files you already produced while paid.

To operate the service, you grant SVGMaker a limited licence to store, process, and transmit the files and prompts you supply — including sending them to third-party AI providers where section 2 says that applies — and to display them back to you in your account. This licence exists only to run the service for you. SVGMaker does not use your files or generated output for advertising or marketing, to train AI models, or for any broader purpose.

8. How long we keep your files

Generated output stays available in your account for 30 days, after which it is deleted automatically. Download anything you want to keep.

If you delete your account, we delete the files stored for it. See the Privacy Policy for the detail.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Supply material you don't have the right to use, including copyrighted or infringing content.
  • Attempt to generate content that infringes someone else's trade mark, logo or design rights.
  • Attempt to generate sexual or exploitative content involving real people or minors.
  • Use SVGMaker to impersonate a real individual or organisation in a way intended to deceive.
  • Upload files crafted to attack the service or other users — including SVG files containing scripts, event handlers or external references intended to execute code. We strip such content, but attempting it is still a breach of these Terms.
  • Interfere with the service, circumvent rate limits, or use automated means to place load on it beyond normal use.
  • Resell or redistribute access to SVGMaker itself, as opposed to the files you produce with it.
  • Use the service for any illegal purpose.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, and may remove content that violates it.

10. Third-party services

SVGMaker depends on third parties to operate: AI model providers, a payment processor, and cloud infrastructure and storage providers. Their availability and their own terms affect the service. We choose these providers carefully but do not control them.

11. AI generation is not guaranteed

Generation depends on third-party AI providers. SVGMaker does not guarantee that any specific prompt or file will produce a particular result, that a job will always succeed, or that upstream providers will always be available. Output quality, style, and reliability can vary based on factors outside our control.

AI models can produce output resembling existing work. You are responsible for checking that what you publish does not infringe someone else's rights.

12. No warranty

SVGMaker is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. SVGMaker does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated output will meet your expectations.

13. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded — including your statutory rights as a consumer.

Subject to that, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, SVGMaker and its operators will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, business, or data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid to SVGMaker in the twelve months before the claim arose.

14. Indemnity

If you are using SVGMaker for business purposes, you agree to cover our reasonable losses arising from a third-party claim caused by your breach of section 9, or by material you supplied that you did not have the right to use.

This section does not apply to you if you are using SVGMaker as a consumer.

15. Ending your account

You may stop at any time. Cancel a subscription from your billing settings; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for. You may delete your account from your account settings.

We may end or suspend an account that breaches these Terms, or where we are required to by law.

When an account ends: access to the service and to any remaining credits stops. Unused credits are not refunded except where refund is required by applicable law. Files stored for the account are deleted. Commercial licences already granted under section 7 are not affected.

16. Governing law and disputes

If something has gone wrong, please contact us first — most issues are resolved that way and it is quicker for everyone.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring proceedings in your own part of the UK: in Scotland, the Scottish courts; in Northern Ireland, the Northern Irish courts. If you are a consumer living outside the UK, this choice of law does not remove any protection you have under the mandatory consumer laws of the country you live in.

17. General

Whole agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, are the whole agreement between you and SVGMaker about the service.

If part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest continues to apply.

Delay is not waiver. If we do not enforce a right straight away, that does not mean we have given it up.

Transfer. You may not transfer your account or your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may transfer ours if the service changes hands, provided your rights are not reduced.

18. Changes to these Terms

SVGMaker may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new date at the top, and continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

19. Contact
